Link Roundup 4/11/18

A short list of links that I've found thought provoking or inspirational this recently, usually (but not always) related to photography or the creative process.

  • Finding your Creative Style - I don't know that Jon Wilkening's take on this topic is particularly new or insightful. But I always like articles like this.
  • Strobist Lighting Cookbook - The latest installation to David Hobby's excellent series of lighting primers.
  • How to Read the Internet - I've always been a fan of RSS. A lot of people think it died out when Google killed Google Reader, but it's still there, available on just about any and every site you go to. If you want to keep track of my (sporadic) posts here via RSS, this is mine.
  • Deadendthrills - Most "game photography" is really just screenshots. But DET elevates that to something else entirely. Not photography, but not just an image of someone else's art either.
  • This excellent interview I came across via The Candid Frame:
It is not the sharpness of the image to which people respond. They will not, one day in the distant future, speak about your stunning histograms.
